Why learn Shuaijiao
&
Inner Mongolian Bokh
- Age doesnt matter! This sport is for all ages
- Size doesnt matter! The skills and attributes developed are to face any opponent.
- They build a solid foundation for the skills and attributes needed for wrestling
- Because of the way the jackets are made, the styles develop Jacket, No jacket(no gi), and belt wrestling skills all at once
- Bokh's transferability is proven through hundreds of years, starting with the Mongol empire where Naadam(competitions were held regularly), throughout time you hear of the stories of the Mongol wrestlers winning. In modern times you can see how Mongolians are one of the few groups of people that travel and compete in any style of wrestling, from Bokh and shuaijiao, freestyle, Judo, greco, sumo, sambo, belt wrestling, Kazakh Kuresi etc and dominate or do well in all. this has never been seen before by any group of people and it comes from their foundation of Bokh and their lifestyle, which is why teaching the cultural aspects is a big part of this course.
- They have some of the most developed and dynamic throws in grappling
- These arts develop both strength and sensitivity. A balance of the two are what makes you a great wresltler
- Bokh isnt about theory, its all battle tested and performed on the field. Because of its unique rules, it develops a fearless and skilled warrior. As the saying goes "dont fear the big wrestler and dont underestimate the smaller wrestler"
- Develops a will power that goes beyond wrestling and makes you an unstoppable force in life.
- Because its tied into the culture and lifestyle of Mongolian people, it gives you certain values and principles to help you keep balance in your life that is missing from so many in the modern urban places in the world, where we are so far removed from nature and a sense of community.
